Introduction

College of General Education (CGE) was founded and known as General Education Center in 1997, which restructured and renamed in 2009. CGE now has three units, include Administrative Center, Humanity Education Development Center and Service-Learning Center. CGE now has 31 full-time faculties, each respectively belong to Art and Humanity Research Group, Social Science Research Group, Natural Science Research Group and Life Science Research Group, with the educational idea of Hung Kuang University – people oriented, life caring, CGE provides lots of basic, voluntary and elective general education courses for students. The basic courses include languages, mathematics, computer science, civics, social science and arts. To meet the needs of students’ interest and departmental requirement, CGE ask to provides specialized and complementary courses in the areas of life science, natural science, social science, and literatures and art.
