General Education Center(GEC) was founded in 1997, include Administrative Section, Humanistic Education Development Section and Service-Learning Section,Cultural assets and natural resources research promotion center. GEC now has  respectively belong to Art and Humanity Research Group, Social Science Research Group, Natural Science Research Group , with the educational idea of Hung Kuang University – people oriented, life caring, GEC provides lots of basic, voluntary and elective general education courses for students. The basic courses include Language, civic, science, aesthetics, physical and creative. To meet the needs of students’ interest and departmental requirement,GEC ask to provides specialized and complementary courses in the areas of natural science, social science, and literatures and art.
